How Accurate Is Urine Pregnancy Test?
Question: Hi my name is XXXXXXX I haven't since my period for about 9weeks now I have done urine test but it all came out negative. But I have pains all over my nipple and also my tongue is very bittered and I pee a lot and I also have constant headache and I feel sick is it possible for me to be pregnant because am confused right now. But I have little bumps around my nipples Or do you think I should do the blood pregnancy test. Am really scared but i really wish to be pregnant.

I am sorry you are feeling poorly.
The urine pregnancy test is very accurate by 7 days after the missed period. So I highly doubt that you are pregnant. If, for easing your mind, you want to make extra sure, you can go in and have a blood test, but I don't think this is necessary.
Sometimes when the hormones are off for whatever reason (stress can do that), you can have some of the symptoms you are describing without being pregnant. Stress can interfere with ovulation which can cause periods to be skipped.
If you have not had a period after 3 months, then we call this secondary amenorrhea, and usually give a short course of a progesterone. When you stop taking the progesterone then your period comes.
I am concerned about the constant headache though. This is not a sign of pregnancy. A constant headache should be evaluated, so I would strongly advise that you go in to your doctor for evaluation of the headache.

Okay thanks it was helpful but why do I have pains in my nipple that's what I don't understand? Because ever since I grew up when I do pregnancy urine test it always show negative but when I do blood test it's always positive I don't know why it's always like that, that was why I was wondering if I should do the blood test just to get my mind at ease.

Is it nipple tenderness? This may be from hormones either trying to get your body to ovulate, or post ovualation.
Another possibility is if you recently go a new bra that is irritating.

I just read your second post - about the urine tests being negative and the blood tests being positive. The only explanation I could have for this is that blood tests pick up on the HCG pregnancy hormone sooner (are more sensitive).
If this has been the pattern for you, then yes, do go in for a blood test.
Also, if you are not pregnant, I would strongly advise getting on a reliable continuous form of birth control, such as the Pill, IUD, etc, so that you don't have to worry in the future.
