How Can I Treat Brown Drainage From The Nose?
Thanks for your query.
Brown drainage from nose occurs when there is some bleeding inside the nasal cavity / sinuses and the blood mixed with mucous comes out.
I would like to know some more details on your problem to be specific in my opinion, like:
1) Are you a tobacco smoker or regular alcohol drinker?
2) Is there any pain associated with the discharge?
3) Have you ever got yourself examined for nasal polyps?
4) Is your nose stuffy or congested?
5) Do you have a cough or headache?
6) Do you have a sore throat?
7) Do you have a fever?
Your answers will help me to suggest a better opinion with regards to your problem.
Excessive burping and hiccups are usually due to excessively distended stomach causing stimulation of diaphragm.

1) Are you a tobacco smoker or regular alcohol drinker? - No
2) Is there any pain associated with the discharge? - No
3) Have you ever got yourself examined for nasal polyps? - No
4) Is your nose stuffy or congested? - Yes, I have alergies; tree pollen, ragweed,
5) Do you have a cough or headache? - Yes, due to congestion and nasal drip
6) Do you have a sore throat? - Sometimes
7) Do you have a fever? - No
From the description that you have given it seems that it is the allergy is most probable cause here.
Due to this, the nasal mucosa remains dried up which bleeds intermittently causing the brown discharge. To avoid this, you should use normal saline nasal drops at least twice daily to keep your mucosa moist and to avoid bleeding.
You are already taking antiallergics. Taking steam inhalation at least thrice daily will also help in relieving congestion thus decreasing the amount of discharge.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available if you have any further queries.
Wish you an early recovery.
Regards,
