How Can A Scar After Excision Of The Bartholin's Gland Be Treated?

Question: hi. i had an bartholin gland abcess last autumn, it popped on it's own and healed pretty quickly, but i still have a scar(more like a hole, kind of) of sorts where the abcess was, and it still bleeds almost daily, mostly just when i wipe. It's not painful in anyway, or if it is, very rarely. Do i need to see a doctor again, or will this heal on it's own, with time?

Brief Answer:
Consult doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

From your notes it appears that the abscess has not cleared off completely and that is the reason you still see some discharge/bleeding daily.
Consult doctor. She can examine and may be she may widen the hole a bit so that the unhealthy tissue drains completely and heals. She may also prescribe antibiotics if need be.
I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
