Question: hi, I have a swollen gland on the top of my right leg, next to my groin area. It is very sore and it hurts to move my leg. I have taken a total of 4 Tylenol so far with no relief. I will be greatful for your advice.

Hello and thank you for your question.
This could be an abscess or cyst. Lymph nodes usually do not get sore and painful. It would probably give you more relief to try an anti-inflammatory medication like advil (ibuprofen) or aleve (naproxen). They would probably help more than tylenol.
Also warm compresses may help. If it is enlarging and painful and not resolving with anti-inflammatory medicine and warm compresses you may need to see a doctor to get it drained.
