How Can Discomfort And Pain In The Throat Be Treated?

Question: Hi,
About a month and half ago i started feeling some and discomfort and a little pain on the middle right side of my throat. I thought it was a normal sore throat so i went to the ENT and the doctor did not notice anything but still gave me antibiotics augmentine 1g...that feeling ofcourse didnt go away so he used the camera tube tool to see deep inside my throat in which he found nothing and told me that maybe its in my head....after that i went to a thyroid doctor to check my thyroid glands through physical examination and ultra sound with blood test...all blood tests were normal with ultra sound showing minor things not related to what i was feeling...do you have any recommendation on what i should do next? Or what this discomfort in my throat could be?

Brief Answer:
GERD to consider next
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HealthcareMagic,
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Throat discomfort may be related to different conditions.
Some of the conditions (allergies, infections such as laryngitis, pharyngitis etc.) in your case are already excluded since you had ENT and endoscopy evaluation.
In my opinion, GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux ) should be considered as a possible condition.
Anxiety also could cause such issues, however, all possible conditions should be excluded before that.
Please discuss with a Gastroenterologist about GERD assessment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
The accuracy is the same.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
The endoscopy offers direct visualization of structures that are the target to be assessed.
There are no changes of anatomy in the throat in different body positions, so, I think the accuracy remains the same.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards.

Yes that helps alot thanks doctor.
I went to a gastroenterologist yesterday and through Q&A with a bit of physical exam she prescribed for me a medicine named pantazol. she did not perform any specific diagnose test for GERD to see inside my stomach which i thought would be the case.
usually how much time would it take to notice an improvement?
And could this throat pain doctor be related to a vein artery for instance?

Brief Answer:
Use pantoprazole for few days and let's see how it is going.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Seems not to be related to any vessels problems.
I think you should continue few days with pantoprazole, if no improvement, gastroesophageal endoscopy may be needed.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards.
