How Can Painful Swelling In The Fingers Be Treated?

Arthritis / synovitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thank you for posting the query.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.
Joint pain and swelling, especially of the fingers, is mostly caused by inflammation of the joint synovium. This is mostly seen in cases of early arthritis.
Do you have a family history of joint pains or arthritis?
Have you recently suffered from major illness / fever?
Do you any recent history of trauma or sprain?
At present,i would suggest you to take anti inflammatory analgesic tablets like tramadol/paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Application of local analgesic gel/spray followed by hot fomentation will be helpful.
Avoid doing heavy work with the affected hand.Give as much rest as possible to the affected fingers.
Please get back to me with the answers to the above questions so that i could help you better.
I hope the answer was useful.
Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.
Thank you.
Best wishes.
