Brief Answer:
About blood sugar and neuropathy;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
Yes, elevated glucose levels may worsen neuroapthy.
In patients with Diabetes, the main treatment consist in maintaining normal blood sugar.
As you may know Diabetes is the most common cause, accounting for approximately half of cases with neurpathy, but up to 1/3rd of neuropathy patients have no identifiable etiology.
Among this population, impaired glucose tolerance (IGT or "prediabetes") is observed in approximately 40%.
So even when glucose level is slightly elevated may cause nerupathy or may worsen it.
I would recommend to check the blood sugar and if it is above the normal levels, start treatment to reduce it.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
