Causes soft tissue necrosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in.

Arsenic trioxide was used to devitalise pulp but it has caused many health hazards. It leads to mandibular bone and soft tissue necrosis. It also produce severe damage of the periapical tissue, destruction of supporting bone, and the loss of teeth when left in the pulp chamber for a long period of time.
Now adays better pulp devitalising agents are available, hence its use is avoided.

Hope I answered your query

Wishing you good health
