How Does Claravis Differ From Absorica?

default
Posted on Tue, 14 Nov 2017
Question: My daughter was taking Absorica 40 mg and ended Feb 2017. She has since started getting cystic acne even worse and now in college and am not able to “monitor” everything as well as I would like. Dermatologist in college town has her taking clavaris which is a lot cheaper(not that I am complaining) but what is the difference between the two drugs? I just have a lot of concerns since she is so far away from us and I do not have that control. Not that I am a control freak, just love my daughter and want what is best for her.

Brief Answer:
There is no difference between the two medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and there is no difference between the two drugs.
Both of them are isotretinoin.
The only difference is that both are being manufactured by different companies and that's why they are of different prices.
I think there efficacy will be same.
You only need to monitor her liver function tests and lipid profile at baseline and then every 3 months.

Dr Asmeet
