Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. With age of 80, and multiple herniated discs, I believe epidural steroid shots are the best course of treatment along with strong potent painkillers and physiotherapy exercises. Surgery is not a suitable option due to old age and multiple disc involvement. However they may still consider spinal fusion surgery if the pain is unbearable. But i don't think 7 discs can be compensated for with a fusion that big as that would bring limitations too.

Stay in touch with your pain doctor, you are on the right track. I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
