How Effective Is Plan B Emergency Contraceptive In Preventing Pregnancy?
Question: I had my first day of period on October 1 and had unprotected sex the same day. I took plan b afterwards because I had missed several days of my birth control pill. I had mild bleeding 14 days later and now I am on day 26 with cramping and very emotional like I normally do before my period. I have taken a pregancy test in the morning of days 26 and showed negative. I also had the essure procedure done two months before unprotected sex. I do not want to be pregancy and wondering the chances at this point. Starting to get stressed. If I am can you still take an abortion pill?

If you have not had sex since that October 1st date, and you had your period when you had sex, there is really no way you could have become pregnant at that time, especially if you were on birth control pills the month before. It is common to have bleeding at an irregular time after you use plan B.
In addition, if the Essure procedure was successful in you, it is likely already effective even though the recommendation is to get a test for tubal blockage at 3 months. Tubal scarring only takes a few weeks to form, the reason they recommend follow-up at 3 months is to confirm that the coils are in the right place.
So in summary- you were effectively using three different birth control methods around the time you had unprotected sex... Which also was at your least fertile time, so I sincerely doubt you could be pregnant. So I think you can relax, especially since you have PMS symptoms... You probably will get your period within another week or so.
You can have a medical termination at up to 7 weeks of pregnancy, but in your case, if you do find that you're pregnant, you need to see your doctor right away because you are high risk of tubal pregnancy after any kind of tubal surgery.
