due to infection from Hiv virus

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic .

Aids happen because of infection with Hiv virus. This infection occurs via following modes with decreasing order of transfer rate
-sexual intercourse unprotected includes vaginal, anal and oral sex with infected person
-transfusion of blood containing the virus
-using the needles previously used by infected person
-blood , saliva, body fluid of infected person coming in contact with your fresh wound.
-mother to child during pregnancy or delivery.

Once infected by Hiv virus various symptoms and signs develop. This is called Aids.

Brief Answer:
two types of tests are there

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

There are two test for Hiv diagnosis.
1)Hiv antibody test should be taken after 2 months because it may come negative before that. After 2 months definate result may be got.
2)Hiv RNA test is there which gives result in 2 weeks and is more efficient.

If a person suspects HIV exposure I.e sure about the hiv status of partner then they need to take post exposure prophylaxis. Which reduces viral load and may help in preventing infection. But not 100% guarantee.

Symptoms of Aids are very wide, common are
-weight loss, loss of appetite
-chronic cough, repeated skin infection, cold
-chronic diarrhoea , weakness etc.

But for these symptoms to occur it takes long gap from time of infection more then 6months or even more.

Hiv infection is not curable once diagnosed at any stage. But with drugs viral load may be reduced and immunity may be maintained to provide good life expectancy.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Hi, I had paid sex on 2-9-2014 wherein I kissed deeply & our tongues met. So, I think there was some saliva exchange, but there wasn't any blood exchange. She did oral sex on me & after that I did penetrate her, but I was wearing a condom & even during the intercourse, I didn't ejaculate. So, she removed the condom & made me ejaculate with her hand.

The symptoms which I'm having are-
1. Bodyache
2. Drowsiness
3. My eyebrows are heavy & I feel sleepy
4. Feeling cold
5. Weakness

I drink & smoke daily. I also workout late at night. I sleep at around 4-5 am.

Please let me know which tests I should get done & from where.
Pls answer asap

Brief Answer:
unlikely to be hiv infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

The act which you have described by that there are very less chances of transfer of hiv infection as all precautions were taken and there was no blood contact.

Your symptoms goes more in favor of viral fever. So I would suggest you to consult your physician and get examined. If after examination viral fever is suspected then no investigation needed and treatment may be started. Further investigations depends upon examination findings.

As per your history no need to go for hiv testing. As there was no exposure. You are unlikely to have other sexually transmitted diseases because in these you develop itching, redness and bumps near penis and burning micturition . So there is no need for testing for that unless you develop some lesions.

Try to regularise your sleep cycle as it will affect your health if you sleep so late.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
