What Causes Chronic Cough Along With White Bump On The Tonsils?
Hi. I have had a chronic cough for over 5 months now. It is a cough but it is also kinda like a tickle that makes me cough and it feels as if I have fluid in my lungs. It makes my right ear itch deep inside. I noticed this morning that their is what looks like a white growth/bump on behind the right tonsil. Im not sure but that seems to be where the tickling is occurring. If I dont cough or clear my throat I gasp for air and I often wheeze also. Please help. I have seen a doctor twice and been on all kinds of medicine for cough, drainage, and sinuses.
White bump may be an pus or tonsilar stone or edematous mucosal fold. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Coug may be due to lower respiratory tract infection. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
