How Is Toxoplasmosis Transmitted?
Question: Hi, I attached my gf blood results. can toxoplasmosis be transferred from one person to another, I a have cats (they are indoor, eating only food that vet prescribed, drinking bottled water and having crystal litter that is regularly changed, they have no contact with outside whatsoever)is it possible that I got infected and transfferd to my gf? because for sure I know I don't have mononucleosis at least I don't have any symptoms of it. she has body ache, feels constantly tired, liver enzymes are elevated and some hormonal imbalance.
thank you
thank you
Brief Answer:
This is more suggestive of infectious mononucleosis!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I have reviewed this information fully. This is rather suggestive of infectious mononucleosis which can be transferred through kissing and not toxoplamosis. I will recommend that you follow up with this test for infectious mononucleosis as this is the most likely cause of your symptoms. Remember that infectious mononucleosis can also be transferred from your girl to you.
I wish you well.

Thank u for your reply, I personally don't have any symptoms and her doctor suggests that most probably it's cats and that I am the carrier . So it is possible that I infected her? also we are together for almost 7 months and her symptoms are only active, let's say it that way, in last month or so. I'm in my 30s and she is in early 40s
Brief Answer:
Well, follow up with the specific tests for this condition!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Please, these findings do not add up. To be very precise and certain, follow up with the proposed testings and we can provide more insights about this.
I wish you well and hope to hear from you soon. Toxoplamosis is no diagnosed from a full blood count.

hi, please find attached my blood test results. night before I took the test I had heavy drinking night, plus less than 3 years ago I had gallbladder surgery, open surgery, so doctor suspect on a fatty liver, can u tell me what are your thoughts?
Brief Answer:
Too early to call fatty liver disease!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is too early to call fatty liver disease. These numbers for liver enzymes are high and as such we need to do further evaluations to understand what the exact issue is. I will say let's follow up with a control test in 2months as these increased numbers could have been explained by the alcohol intake.
Keep me posted with that.
