How Long After Taking Fertigyn Shot Will The Egg Rupture?
Question: Hello Doctor,
We are trying for our first baby.
My wife had follicle scan on 11th, 14th and 17th day scan to check the gg status. On 17th day scan egg was not ruptured hence Doctor has adviced her to take Fertigyn 10000 injection. My wife has taken the injection yesterday(20th XXXXXXX 2016) at 8 PM.
1)After taking the injection, how long it will take for rupturing of egg.
2) How many hours it will have impact and what is the right time for contact to get pregnant.
3) She has asked us to do another scan on Wednesday(22nd XXXXXXX 2016). Should we have intercourse today? What should be the frequency for intercourse ?
4)How many more times we can have contact to get pregnancy from now on?
Please clarify our doubts on the chances of getting pregnant.

greetings. I understand your concern.
your wife has taken hcg trigger on 20th XXXXXXX at 8pm.
But you have not mentioned the size of follicles on 17th day.
However ovulation happens between 35 to 36 hrs after hcg injection..considering it to be around 8am on 22nd XXXXXXX you can have intercourse tonight ,tomorrow morning and again tomorrow night .
As Dr suggested you can repeat the scan tomorw after 9am (by the time you would had intercourse twice.)
Then again you can have intercourse tomorw night also or update me or your doctor about tomorrow's scan result.
Some men will have problems with erection when in demand.If you have such problems discuss with your doctor and take medicines.
