How Long Does Colon Preparation Liquid Take To Show Effect?

Thank you. He is an inmate in Kansas and they do not have a doctor. Sometimes family has to make them aware that the family knows and then they take action. So if he has no results by in the morning there is s place I can call to speed things up. Is time a factor. If they delay getting the blockage too long could it not be dangerous?
