How Long Does Pristiq Remain In The System?
Question: How long does it take for pristiq to leave your system. I had a bad reaction to it of insomnia, hyperactivity,assertive and aggressive behavior. all of this on a 50 mg. extended release. I then started taking 25 mg. for several days and still had same side effects. In turn I cut that in half and was taking 12.5 mg for 4 days and now completely off for 2 days and still have these same effects. Please advise.

Well these are the adverse reactions of the drug.The adverse reactions shall wear off in few days.
See the half life of Pristiq is 11 hours. It means the body takes 11 hours to remove 50% of the drug . So by calculation it takes 66 hours to remove 96% of the drug from the body. So a total of around 5 days is required to remove 96% of the drug from the body.
2/days have elapsed so 3 more days to go. But the intensity of these adverse reactions starts reducing day by day.
I advise you to drink plenty of water.

What dosage would you recommend to start? You do not like the restoril?
