How Long Does A Rabid Dog Survive After Biting A Human?

Question: is a rabid dog can alive after 10days of bitting a human?
Brief Answer:
7-14 days
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Yes a rabid dog can live beyond 10 days.
The value of day is a general average.
The correct value is actually a range between 7-14 days.
After 14 days, no, the dog is unlikely to have rabies.
However, one need not wait for 10 days to see the dog die.
You see a rabid dog doesnt just turn over and die on the 14th day.
It develops symptoms
1. excess salivation
2. excess aggressiveness
3. red eyes
4. fear of water
So if you see these signs, you can understand that the dog is rabid and you need vaccination. If these have not developed by day 14, you can stop taking further vaccines.
I hope that answers you
Best of luck

actually sir i was bitten by a stray dog about 16 years ago and there was little blood.i did not take vaccination.but i correcctly remembered that the dog was alive after 10days but not sure that the dog was healthy or not.is i am at risk of rabies now ?as i read in some website that incubation period can long as several years.
Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be rabies
Detailed Answer:
I will agree with you that the incubation period can last several years. But the point is that the risk reduces with every passing year. Also, the way you describe it, the dog was probably ok. And finally, now you cannot be helped by a vaccine. The symptoms of rabies usually manifest with the first 5 years and mostly within 1 year.
I will say just relax about it.
best of luck

is there any case of rabies after 15 years of dog bite?
Brief Answer:
yes
Detailed Answer:
Dear friend, in medical, there are cases of everything. but the point is how frequently does that happen. If 1 person in 100000 had that case, its not necessary that you will have it too.
I think you are safe.
To answer more specifically, i know of case that developed after 25 years
