How Long Does Bleeding Prolong While Going Through Abortion?

Question: Want to know till when the pain nd bleeding will continue.. There is extreme pain.. Its 5hrs she has taken mispprostal Tablet

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
Bleeding more than menstruation and cramps continue for another hour until she aborts the pregnancy. For pain you can give her Ibuprofen 400 ng now.
Once she aborts the bleeding reduces and cramps subside. Light bleeding continues usually for a week.

For some the bleeding and cramps may continue a little longer. However if the bleeding is severe ( soaking more than 2 pads per hour for more than 2 hours ) she must go to hospital. She would then need assistance from doctors to complete the abortion process.
