Better to do FBS & PPBS, HbA1c & consult diabetologist.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, XXXXXXX
From your case record there is likely possibility of Type 2 Diabetes in your case.
Usually in case of Gestational Diabetes blood sugar levels come down to normal levels immediately after delivery.
In your case you have been prescribed medicine even after pregnancy and you have continued it till date and still your blood sugar levels are high.
I want to know -
1) Your height and weight (BMI).
2) Diabetes history in your family.
3) Are you following diabetic diet or not.
4) Are you in touch with any diabetologist or not.
I will advise you to consult nearby diabetologist.
Till that time continue tab Glyciphage 850 two times a day.
While going to diabetologist check your ffasting and postprandial blood sugar level and HbA1c level that are important in your management.
Beside it you should consult dietician for proper meal planning.
Regular blood pressure check.
Ophthalmic evaluation for diabetic retinopathy.
Hope this may be helpful for your.

4) Are you in touch with any diabetologist or not.
As of now, No.
Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes is confirmed.
Detailed Answer:
1) According to your height and weight your BMI (body mass index) is 26.44 by XXXXXXX standards it indicates obesity (>25).
2) Also your both parents are diabetic.
Both these factors makes you prone for Type 2 Diabetes.
In many women Blood sugar levels are usually checked in pregnancy for the first time in life and on the basis of that they are labeled as gestational Diabetes (by definition Diabetes first time detected in pregnancy) but actually they are having type 2 Diabetes.
Though irrespective of diagnosis of Type of diabetes insulin is the most proffered treatment for diabetes in pregnancy (though use of some oral medicines is also allowed by NICE & ADA guidelines), difference matters after delivery in gestational Diabetes blood sugar levels come down to normal immediately after delivery and requires no insulin or medicine for blood sugar level control but in Type 2 Diabetes there is persistent need for insulin or other medicines for blood sugar control.
I will advise you -
Try to lose adequate weight by following regular diet and exercise pattern.
Increase Fibres and protein intake and restrict calories and fat intake.
Try to follow exercise pattern that can be followed almost life long such as yoga, brisk walking, aerobics.
Consult near by diabetologist for medicine advise.
Hope this may be helpful to you.
Feel free to write back your queries.
