How Long Does It Take For Follicle To Rupture Post HCG Injection?

Question: My follicle size was 20.3 on day 13 so my doctor gave me an injection to rapture the follicle around 8:30 pm. By morning I had slight pain where the follicle was but didn't have intercourse until next morning at around 9am. Do I have a chance of getting pregnant? How long does it take for follicle to rapture after the injection and how long do the the egg live after ovulation?

Hello, I understand your health concerns.
It takes 24-36 hours for follicle to rupture after HCG injection but in case your internal hormones function well then it might get ruptures early as evident by your history.
Egg is viable for about 24 hours after ejaculation.
After considering all these facts there are moderate chances of pregnancy in your case.
All we can do is to wait till 16 days post HCG injection.

I had sex 2 hours before HCG injection and took the injection around 8:30pm. By morning I was feeling pain in the follicle area. But didn't have sex after the injection. Do I still have a chance of pregnancy?

If you had sex just 2 hours before HCG injection then there are fair chances of pregnancy as I told you sperms stay alive for at leat 72 hours after entering vagina.

I've had an ectopic pregnancy in the past which was around 8 years ago. Is there a chance that it will happen again?
Another Q. As you know that I have taken the HCG a injection, what if I am now pregnant with twins? Since the injection allows more than one egg to be released. Would it be dangerous for me because it will be my first pregnancy?

Chances of ectopic pregnancy are increased subsequently in a patient who already has a history.
Yes there are chances of multiple pregnancy to the tune of 5-15% due to multiple egg release but it can be dealt easily and is better tolerated in first time pregnant patients.
