How Long Does The Dosage Of Lexapro Take To Show Effectiveness?

Question: I was on Lexapro 10 mg since three weeks, Solian (amisulpride) 100 mg, Klonopin 2 mg and Keppra 1000mg. I have some OCD symptoms Since these symptoms are lower (say 30-40 %) but they don't disappear (they can be caused by antagonism of Solian to 5HT7 and 5HT2b receptors and some dopaminergic effects), my psychiatrist decided to give me a higher dosage of Lexapro, 15 mg. I would like to know how long i have to wait to see the benefits of this new dosage. I am a poor metabolizer of cyp2c19 and mild for cyp2d6.
Thanks beforehand

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us again.
If you remeber, I have described in one of the previous answeres, you need higher doses of lexapro up to 30 mg.Considering your Cytochrome P metabolism problem , 20 mg can be 30 for you.
After each increament in the dose of lexapro, one should wait around 3-4 weeks for optimum effects. It is good that your symptoms are responding to lexapro. So if you are on 15 mg since more than 3 weeks and improvement is stagnant, need in dose increment or else just wait for 25 days from the day when 15 mg lexapro started for optimum effects of the same.
