Brief Answer:
Once a week for 3 weeks; given only by a doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

Synvisc is a medication that is injected directly into the joint acting as a shock absorber and reducing pain. Once a doctor decides on administering the injection to a patient, he/she administers the injection once a week for 3 weeks. The doctor then advises the injections only based on the condition of the joint, usually once every 3-6 months.

There are no documented side-effects of the medication if taken sooner, but it is also important to note that no cases of an overdose have been documented as the medication is strictly regulated by doctor's and administered only by doctors, who assess the condition of the patient well enough and only then administer the medication. Synvisc is considered a good medication, but is not enough to control pain completely, so please use this only in addition to other pain-management therapy.

Hope this information helps. Do write back to me for any further clarifications.

Best wishes.
