How To Avoid Chicken Pox Scars?
Chicken pox and its management
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand that you are having chicken pox from last 5 days.
There is no relationship between the blisters breaking during bath and scarring.
As a part of its healing, the blisters are bound to break. However, do not touch/ scratch/ rupture the blisters. This could lead to scarring especially if it gets infected by bacteria.
If you find scars after the lesions heal, you could use a gel containing silicone and vitamin C ( eg- Opexa gel) 2 weeks after the lesions have completely healed. You could use it for 6-8 weeks twice a day.
If the scars, especially on the face are deeper, you may need to do scar revision procedure called Subcision.
Hope this helps you.
If you have any more queries, I will be glad to assist.
Take care.
