TAKE MEDICATION, AVOID WEIGHT GAIN AND STRESS

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
First and foremost, the problem is your weight .
Curtail your calorie intake.
Drink lots of fluids, but with no salt intake, just plain water.
Take XXXXXXX ( Dabur ) salt in minimum quantity in your food.
AVoid pickles, fries, pakoras, papad, extra salt in food.
Eat steamed, bland, boiled vegetables, soups, fruits, dal , dahi etc.
Please start antihypertensives as already must have been advised by your doctor.
Labetalol or alphadopa both are good options.
Take ecosprin regularly.
As you are working, avoid stress in personal and professional life.
Just sleep for 10 hours at night in left lateral position and try and nap for an hour in the daytime.
What job is it that you are doing ?
Is the travelling hectic ?
During your previous pregnancy, did you have high blood pressure ?
Main thing is to avoid excessive weight gain during pregnancy.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
AT PRESENT, NO EXTRA MEDICATION NEEDED.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
You should sit and recline as much as possible during your work at the bank.
At the slightest indication of uncontrolled BP, do not hesitate to apply for maternity leave or even resign.
DO not worry, that is the main cause for raised blood pressure.
Right now you are taking Alphadopa.
If that alone is successful in controlling BP, do not worry.
Weight restriction, salt restriction will help you a lot.
If alphadopa alone fails in controlling BP, you might need additional antihypertensives such as Labetolol, Nicardia - Retard etc.
Take daily 5 mg per day folic acid.
As the other reports are fine, do not worry.
However, you have a long way to go ahead in the pregnancy.
Right now, no more medications are needed, if the BP is not controlled, only then additional medicines will be required by you.
Also, please remember to have daily home BP monitoring, atleast twice a day.
WIsh you lots of luck this time.
Take care.
