How To Increase Blood Flow In Fingers?
Question: Dr. Mendiratta:
To answer your question: I took the antibiotic
vancomycin for ten days without any side effects. I did
not use the nitroglycerin ointment yet. I definitely have
blood flow to the tip of my middle finger and am feeling a
little more hopeful the ulcer will heal.
I am not sure how the skin will repair itself. I
go back to my internist who prescribed the antibiotic on
Friday. Thank you for your interest..

Brief Answer:
Digital Ulcers
Detailed Answer:
Good evening
Well that s a good thing that you tolerated Vancomycin well. I hope the infection is better at the site. But yes for skin to repair, you need to have a medicine to increase the blood flow to the area. I am not too sure if they started Nifedipine for your Raynauds and digital ulcers. Since you are going back on Friday, you can ask them and i will strongly recommend to start. At present the infection is taken care of, but we need to plan for future steps as well to make sure it does not happen again.
I am glad you are feeling better..
Do let me know for more queries, so before you visit your internist on Friday we can get your plan chalked out
