How To Reduce Fever In Children Who Had Been Given Crocin And Meftal?

Question: My 1 year old son having high fever now. 7PM had 100.8°F, gave crocin drops 1.5ml. At 12.30am had 102.8°F, Gave him Meftal P 5ml. How much time will it take for the temperature to reduce. And can else be done if temperature didn't reduce?

Brief Answer: Repeat the dosage, Tepid sponging Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. You can repeat the Paracetamol 1.5 ml dose every 5 hours if fever is not subsiding. also give him tepid sponging-- Wipe his body with cloth soaked in water, place a wet cloth on the forehead. If fever do not subside even with the above methods then you may have to take him to his treating doctor, as he will be needing antibiotics. regards,
