I am taking 60mg per day. It was for chribic pain and its not helping. I am only feeling behatuve sude effects such as weight gain, sugar cravings, anxiety, insomnia and actually feeling more depressed than ever! I only take birth control, and over the counter pain killers like advil. Oh and OTC antihistamine for environmental allergies.

The dose reduction should be 25 % every week and then continuing that dose for another week so the first reduction in your case would be from 60 mg to 45 mg , which will be continued in divided doses for another week and so on till the drug is completely stopped.

The last 25 % reduction dose should be continued for at least two weeks before stopping completely.

hi,

You may skip one day and take the drug on the next day for 10 days.
Next, halve the dose by 50 % from 60 to 30 and continue on alternate days, then increase the interval of drug free days for 2 days, then 3 days and ultimately 6 days, then stop it completely.
