Brief Answer: Considerations Detailed Answer: Hello and thank you for submitting your question. Hairloss can be caused by many different factors. One such factor, and the most common reason in males, is genetic. Other considerations include aging/male pattern baldness, hormone dysfunction, medication, fungal infection, or thyroid dysfunction. It is important to note however that these other causes are not nearly as common as genetic or aging/male pattern baldness. The only way to definitively determine the cause of your hair loss is to schedule an examination with a medical doctor, who may be able to then prescribe medication, if appropriate. Thank you for sharing your health concerns with me. Dr. G
