
Is Alerid Syrup Intake Safe For A Baby?

Question: hi, my baby boy is 6 month old and he is suffering from cold nd cuff doctor precribed alerid syrup is it safe when he is only 2 month he suffer from nemoniya and doc gave him injections .i m very worry about him usually he always suffer from cuff

Medicine for cough depends on the type of cough and associated physical findings. If cough is mild then I would not give any medicine. But if it is moderate then bronchodialator syrup will be required.
I would avoid giving chlorpheniramine containing syrup as they dry up secretions.
Cough in infants normally takes 7-8 days to go. Can you describe the cough - dry or is there sputum production?

Tixylix is cough suppressant. Ideally cough suppressant should be avoided in 6 month child.
If he doesn't have khassi then saline nasal drops only will do for cold
