Brief Answer:
From my experience klonopin has performed better with elderly patients

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am.

I agree with your husbands doctor, xanax has some undesired side effects including memory loss, which can be a problem in the elderly. Klonopin is much more effective, and is the better choice for chronic anxiety (which is what your husband probably has). I am sure klonopin will do him good, but each individual is different and so if klonopin does not make him feel better, we should shift back to the xanax.

I hope and pray he finds relief soon. Please do not hesitate to write to me anytime, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
In my opinion, it would not be as beneficial in sirs case

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again and my apologies for the delay in responding.

In my opinion, Nuedexta (active ingredients dextramethorphan and quinidine) is used for conditions like mood disorders, personality disorders, generalised anxiety disorder. In my opinion, this may not be the right drug for your husband ma'am.

I would choose from klonopin and xanax, and only if a proper course on both medications does not help as well as it should, you can consider nuedexta, yet it wouldn't be the best option, but that is just my opinion.

I hope this helps, and please forgive me once again for the delay in responding, I was held up due to personal commitments.

Best wishes.
