Put at a higher risk of cardiovascular diseases
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your reports. You haven't mentioned your weight and BMI, i guess it's on a higher side from reports.
CRP is certainly elevated and needs lifestyle modification to reduce its level to reduce risk of heart diseases. A diet low in saturated fat like butter, cheese, fried foods, high fiber diet like vegetables and fruits, soy protein, and nuts. Also, low carbohydrate intake like sugars and sweetened beverages, and weight loss. Avoid meat, can have fish if non veg. These measures will help in reduction and if doesn't respond in 6 months, will need statin therapy like rosuvastatin.
Also, vit D and B12 is low, which will need supplements. For Vit D, I usually prescribed tab Uprise D 3 60,000 units once a week for 8 weeks then one a month for six months. For, Vit B 12, you need to increase the milk intake and vit fortified foods like cereals, or medicine like tab ME12 once a day. Hope this helps you. All the best.
Thanks for the response.
I was 112 kgs five months back and now through daily exercise and balance diet, I have reduced it to 90. I am 183 cm tall.
For, CRP being elevated, do I need to take any medicines or would improvement in life style, which I am currently following, would suffice.
I am only a eggetarian and dont eat meat.
It's advisable to start tab Rosuvastatin 10 mg bedtime
Detailed Answer:
Since you are already having a healthy lifestyle, you should start yourself on Tab Rosuvastatin 10 mg bedtime and this has to be continued till 3 months. Repeat hsCRP after 4-6 weeks to look for response. We should recheck the trend of CRP after 3 months or after achieving target BMI.
Continue healthy lifestyle and regular exercises to maintain weight loss. Avoid egg yellow.
