Brief Answer:
Yes in my opinion a shot can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Usually cases of poison Ivy do subside with oral meds but if it's more severe Iv shots have to be given, Answering your question about decardron I would say in my opinion decadron shot is expected to be helpful in this scenario, It is expected to stop the worsening.

Here one this is also worth mentioning that if the rash gets infected, if you see pus or discharge out of it, it will need an antibiotic to control it , urgent visit to your doctor would be needed then.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise please close the discussion and rate it.
