Is Diclofenac Advisable After Lumpectomy?
Question: I take doclofenac for OA. I am having a lumpectomy soon. When should I stop diclofenac?
Brief Answer:
That wasn't too soon. But could have also been continued!
Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.
If you are not in pains, there is no ned to worry about this. This drug could also be used through the surgery as it is often used even during and after surgery to control pain and swelling. This is a minor surgery and there are actually no fears about diclofenac and possible increased bleeding risk associated with surgery. In all, even through surgery is no problem but if you are not in pains, it is okay to stop it.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
