Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in details.
Please find my observations below.
1. Elisa test for HIV is for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies.
2. If you have got Elisa test done at 6 months and result is negative then it is 100 percent conclusive. This is true even if you have taken yellow fever and cholera vaccines in the past.
3. HIV antibodies appear within 6 months in every patient. Please relax and your hiatus hernia, sore throat and skin problems will improve.
Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
You can do the test one last time for peace of mind

Please do the final test after a month from last test
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. If you have taken the last test 10 days back then you might take a final test 1 month after the last one. In most probability this will be normal.
2. Symptoms due to small hiatus hernia can be controlled by taking precautions like avoiding bending after meals and sitting at least for 30 minutes after food. This will prevent the symptoms of regurgitation of acid or food in the stomach. Please have regular follow up done once a year or every two years. Sonography will not show any hiatus hernia problems. You might get an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy done.
3. There is no worry if your 6 month after exposure test is negative. It is clear that you do not have HIV infection.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
