Question: I'm 28 F,
I have PCOD with hypothyroidism... im planning for baby...my menses are irregular and i rarely ovulate
Now I'm on 2 nd cycle of siphene, progynova and duphaston...
Daily I'm taking Goecyst tablets twice a day
My treating doctor didn't tell to take any folic acid tablet... I heard when ever we are trying for baby we should take folid acid ... do I need to take ??

Hi, I think you should take folic acid tablets also if you are not taking it. You can take any folic acid tablet available in the market. It prevents the neural tube defects in the baby and should be taken till 3 months of pregnancy. Hyperhomocystinemia is also one of the cause of infertility and recurrent pregnancy failures. In that you need double dose of folic acid. Serum homocysteine level can be checked. Hope I have answered your question.
