You are on right medicines.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.
Considering Type 2 Diabetes and normal Kidney & heart function you are on right medicines for this level of blood sugar.
In such cases I may suggest -
- Continue current treatment as advised.
- Recheck Fasting & post-prandial blood sugar levels after 4 to 6 weeks.
- Along with this following investigations may be helpful
HbA1c.
Lipid Profile
Renal Function Test
Liver Function Test
Urine examination
Ultra TSH.
- Diet : Follow diabetic diet with consultation with near by dietician who can plan diet for you considering your height, weight & food habits.
- Exercise : Usually 150min per week of moderate degree physical exercise is recommended.
I usually suggest 40 to 60 min brisk walk daily.
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
Dr. Abhay Mali.
Diabetologist.
