I had a nagging pain which started on my left shoulder. Then it spread to my left side. Then I had a light temeperature. After that the pain was gone. The pain came back on the right shoulder again there was this mild temperature, this time though the pain is not gone. It persists on the right shoulder. The interanl end point of the collar bone(right below the throat) if pressed is very painful. Age 63 height 5 8 there is no previous history heart ailment. On Doctor s advice I did ECG which turned out to be normal. BP 130/80 Fasting blood sugar 98.Serum Lipid profile: TGR 139.8 Tot. Cholesterol: 201.4 Free Cholesterol: 65.3 Easter Cholesterol: 136.1 HDL 46.6 LDL 126.9 VLDL 27.9 Medication : Monospril one a day Diclofenac tabs twice a day Omeprazole once daily Advice: Echo Cardigraphy with TMT
You are experiencing an inflammatory reaction to certain joints,shoulders and the inner joint of the collarbone. This is associated with fever as you have mentioned. this needs some blood work up with a doctor specialized in joint inflammation (rheumatologist). Meanwhile, continue the medications which you are using. You may take Diclofenac potassium for a faster response to pain relief. You may ice the painful area. You can use pain patches, Diclofenac or Buprenorphine (which needs to be prescribed by your doctor).
