Brief Answer:
The antibody test after one year of exposure is definitely conclusive.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
The development of antibodies against HIV varies from 15 days to 3 months in different individuals which is known as window period for HIV. The antibody test done after 3 months of exposure is absolutely reliable and conclusive. So don't get scared and be relaxed because you are completely risk free.
The persistent cough is mostly due to some other infection or allergy for which you can consult your local physician, go for some investigations to isolate the cause and take treatment as per the advice. Avoid excessive stress or tension as it is not good for your health. Wishing you happy and healthy life ahead.
Thank You

So many discussions in website creating this stress. I have 2 more questions.
1. Is ELISA test is more sensitive than tri dot and CMIA ( VITROS ECI by XXXXXXX and johnson)?
2. Which test is more sensitive western blot or 3rd generation antibody test? One doctor said to me that 3rd generation test is more sensitive as this is the screening test. But i have doubt on this.
