Hello Doc,
Thank you for your response.
Well, the condom worked perfectly, I just went through the test since the HIV status of the other person was unknown to me.
I have uploaded the report, it doesn't say anything about the Generation. Is it a 4th Gen. Test? If not could you please tell me some 4th Gen. test name and are they valid in 6th week??
Thank you for your response.

Hi Doc,
I called in to the lab and looks like they have no clue on the generation.
In the worst case, if we consider it as a 3 Gen, how conclusive you consider this result at 5th week???

Hi xxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. If they have third generation rapid HIV test then it is to be done at 3 months and again at 6 months. If negative after 6 months then it is conclusive. This is because the HIV antibodies can appear after 3 to 6 months.

Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. The test is for HIV antibodies for HIV 1 and 2 virus. This has to be repeated after 3 and 6 months. Since you have done protected sexual intercourse therefore the chances of HIV is less.
