Is HIV Transmission Possible Through A Hair-trimmer?
Question: Hi I went to barber shop yesterday to cut my hair and trim my beard but I was waiting for barber because he was cutting hair to some one, then he called me washed my hair then started to cut my hair then he used trimmer to trim my beard after trimmed I feel some small pain at my upper neck skin but blood not come out , I think he used same trimmer for me but from wash hair to trim my beard took 2-3 mins please explain is that any chance to spread hiv from previous customer who got hiv

Hair-Trimmer would not cause injury in normal circumstances, so the direct contact with blood is unlikely.
HIV is highly fragile organism and can not withstand outside the body and body fluid not more than few seconds. So an infection through a hair trimmer is unlikely as you were getting prepared for the hair cut. After that 2-3 minutes HIV would not be viable in the trimmer. The risk for HIV transmission is negligible. Nothing to worry.
