Is Meftal Advisable When Child Has Fever Of 103?

Question: My daughter is suffering from fever 103f . I gave her crocin 2 hr before . Still the temp is not coming down.. Even after applying wet cloth on her forehead. After what time I can give her meftal?

I have read your query and understand your concern.
You can give Meftal every 4-6 hours.
As far as cold sponging is concerned,apply the sponge on not only forehead but also on her chest,thighs and arm pits.
Other way can be to put her in a bath tub which would help her more and fast.
Consult her doctor for relevant investigations to find the cause and give proper treatment.
