1. Can it be fibrosis or cirrhosis?
I used to consume heavy amount of alchohol but after test i have completely stopped it..i am a over weight also
i have my canadian immigration medical coming this week...is it fine or cause problems in my medicals
presence of fibrosis canbe confirmed with fibroscan
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thanks for putting your query in hcm. Since ultrasound is showing only coarse echotexture, fibrosis or cirrgosis cant be excluded. For confirming you require few tests like fibroscan to see for degree of fibrosis
and endoscopy for presence of varices. Increase in sgpt is due to alcohol intake and overweight. So what you have to do is continue with abstinence from alcohol, take tablet udiliv and capsule evion. Do dieting and exercise to reduce your weight. I am not sure that this will cause any problem in medical test. In most test sgot or sgpt is not done. However this you have to confirm yourself from the concerned official. I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. Wish you a good health.
