Brief Answer:
THis doesn't treat but controls teh infection!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for reaching out to us.

Hepatitis B has no cure at this time. The most effective way is vaccination. When infected, we follow up and see whether the liver is being damaged. If it is, at that time we use vemildy to halt continued damage. In this respect, it limits progression but in no way cures or completely eliminates the virus from the body.

Possible side effects are build up of lactic acid that manifest with rapid breathing and body weakness. Also, this might drug causes gastric upset such as nausea, vomiting abdominal pain, etc. It may also cause skin rash and other neurologic symptoms such as sleeping difficulties. However, these occur in very few clients.

Despite these side effects, the benefits outweigh the risk and I strongly encourage you to take it if recommended by your doctor.

I wish you well and available for further exchanges if need be.

Hepatitis B vaccin!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There are different forms of hepatitis B vaccine. Complete vaccination consists in 3doses administered over 1month or three months and that is it for life.

I hope this helps. I wish you well!

Thank you Dr. Ditah for your follow up response. I am aware of that Vaccines or the oral pill is considered to take by the patients base on how individual patient's liver is damaged. For those patients who have immunied to Heaptitics and have been chronic to this disease, what would you suggest for the treatment. Do you have any patients who have suffered and went through all the treatments. If so what is the best and effective treatment. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Let's get a few things straight!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

1. Vaccines are for persons who have never had hepatitis before. This protects them and they will never need treatment again. Vaccines are administered as shots.

2. Pills, including velmidy are only given to persons with active hepatitis B. Treatment would never be stopped for the rest of your life. So, all patients I have put on treatment would be on drugs for life as I never stop. Only a very few have come to me with serious minor side effects which were eventually managed.

I wish you well. Let me know if this answers your question fully.
