Is A Resting Heart Rate Of 53 A Cause For Concern?

Question: I'm 31 and have always played sports and been in shape. I have a resting heart rate of 53 and never get dizzy or anything when playing sports or exercising. My parents and siblings are all healthy. But I continuously worry about my heart health. Is this stupid?

Following answer to your query.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
You shouldn't worry about your heart. It's normal for a trained person to have a resting heart of 50-55 bpm. If you don't have any symptoms you are normal and don't need to take any action.
My suggestion is to continue with a healthy lifestyle and exercising. This will help to lower further the risk of cardiac problems in the long term (after 20-30 years).
Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
