Is A Series Of Optical Migraine A Symptom Of Brain Tumor?
Question: How likely is it that a symptom...a series of optical migraines (6 over 3 years)... can be due to a brain tumor?

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely
Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
However I must fortunately say that it is very unlikely. That is in first place in consideration of the time factor. In 3 years or more a tumor would have continued to grow and cause other signs and symptoms, even if a benign one.
Another reason is the fact that you describe the pain as episodic. Since a tumor is always there and continues to grow, the migraine would be persistent, even worsening and not in the form of isolated episodes.
Anyway since you are having a MRI it will remove any remaining doubt.
Let me know if I can further assist you.
