Brief Answer:
Uncommon but possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Adenoid hypertrophy is uncommon in adults. But it can occur. In those adult individuals where the adenoids don't reduce in size, they can lead to nasal obstruction. This is especially common in adults exposed to irritants like pollution and dust who are prone to produce an inflammatory response. Sinonasal growths or tumors should always be looked for before considering adenoids.

Adenoid hypertrophy is commonly seen in children. It increases up to about age 6 and is disappeared completely by 16 years of age.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
