Is Alkaline Phosphatase Level Of 245 A Cause For Concern?

Question: Hello, I'm a HER2 breast cancer survivor. My labs came back with my alkaline phosphates at 245. A bone scan was ordered and it came back normal. My liver function is normal. I'm a nervous ninny, would you suggest any other labs or tests? I've had so many surgeries, bowel, appendix, gall bladder, hysterectomy and serval for my cancer. I refuse to have any more surgeries, I just want a normal body and healthy life.

Brief Answer:
HEllo dear. There is nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear.
Welcome to HCM.

So first of all you need not to worry if bone scan is normal. You have a borderline value of alkaline phosphatase and there can be other reasons for it like
vitamin D deficiency
weak bones(osteomalacia)
some persons with blod group O can have mildly elevated ALP.
Get your vitamin D levels checked.
Revert back if there are any further issues.

Thanks and regards
