Is Anal Sex Safe After Anal Fistula Surgery?

Good afternoon. I had an anal fistula surgery on December 7, 2015. I am healing well and have had no complications from surgery. However, when will I be able to have anal sex again with my partner and or use anal toys such as a butt plug after the surgery? thank you

I read your query and understood your concerns.
First of all I wish that you have a complete and a fast recovery from surgery. To restart your sexual life may require long times if the healing process isn't complete.
Secondly you should discuss about these matters with your surgeon, because he will be able to evaluate if the rectal and anal area are completely heal and regenerated after the surgery.
Thirdly you should start again from the beginning after 3-6 months after the surgery (the exact time should be decided in cooperation with your surgeon).
As a first step I would suggest to start using your small fingers to see if these will cause you pain. Please keep in mind, if anal play is painful you should stop immediately and wait for one more week to start again. Than you may start with small but plugs and you should increase the size of but plugs once in a week.
Only if you tolerate well these you may start again doing anal sex. Please keep in mind that rough sex, pain or discomfort aren't recommended for you and you should stop it immediately.
