Is Brown Spotting After Fetus Transfer Normal?

default
Posted on Wed, 3 Sep 2014
Question: Hi, I'm 10 days post 2 day FET. Was informed at time of transfer that embryo was textbook. Currently feeling very pre- menstral and am experiencing brown spotting when going to the toilet when wiping. I'm also feeling bloated. I'm 42 years of age. I had FET as after retrieval by blood work showed an increase in progesterone. The transfer was complicated by the fact that I have stenosis secondary to treatment received for cervical cancer. Once the catheter was passed I watched the embryo transfer on ultrasound. I am not on any medication other than pregnancy vitamin. I am due to do a urine bhcg in 3 days. Am concerned that the transfer has failed. Guess I'm looking for reassurance +/- answer. Thank you, XXXXXXX

Dont worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) There is no way you can loose hopes so soon.

2) If transfer has gone well and embryos were good, there is good chance of pregnancy.

3) Wait for beta hCG test.

4) Please be positive and think good. Be happy. You have chance of pregnancy.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.
